Program Description

Event Details

We will have a local agent with the Missouri Department of Conservation visiting us for a discussion on invasive plant species in Missouri. Some common invasive plants include Callery pear (a.k.a. Bradford Pear), Autumn Olive, Bush Honeysuckle, Canada thistle, crown vetch, common buckthorn, and others. Learn how to identify and control more than 25 of Missouri's most invasive plants.

Invasive species consume wildlife habitats and compete with crops. The Missouri Invasive Plant Council (MoIP) is a multidiscipline group that works to bolster the efforts to identify and control invasive plants across the state.
