Program Description

Event Details

Local Stoutland resident, Marty Milner will discuss and demonstrate fundamental blacksmithing techniques. He will explain the importance of the preservation and advancement of the art and craft of blacksmithing. Marty is a retired United States Marine and is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of blacksmithing

Examples of blacksmithing tools and completed projects will be on display. Many books on the subject will be available for review and check-out from the public library.

This program will be presented to 3rd-5th grade Summer School Students.

This is part of the partnership between the Stoutland Summer School Program and the Stoutland Library Summer Reading Program.
