Bailey’s Beekeeping

You've probably seen honey bees buzzing around flowers and know they make honey, but there is so much more to these fuzzy bugs! Local Stoutland resident Kathryn Bailey will explore the role bees play in the fascinating process of pollination. She will share her experiences as a local Beekeeper.

Examples of beekeeping materials, tools, and instruments will be available for attendees to examine.

There will be educational materials available for educators and parents/guardians to use to further educate children about the importance of bees to our environment. Different types of honey will be available for tasting.

Many books on the subject will be available for review and check-out from the public library.

Ms. Bailey is the former Post Mistress of the Stoutland Post Office. She and her family are passionate about the preservation of the environment.
